INTRODUCTION
This is the third edition of "THE DOUGLAS DC-1, DC-2, AND DC-3 CATALOGUE OF BOOKS, MAGAZINES, VIDEOS, MODELS, PROMOTIONAL ITEMS ETC.". It contains a listing of various Douglas DC-1, DC-2 and DC-3 titles that are for sale at various places.
A listing such as this is only possible with the help of other DC-3-fans. We give special credits to: Paul van den Berg, Nancy Blitz, Maarten Brouwer, Bob Cooper, Barry Dowsett, Lothar Grim, Bart van der Klaauw, Teun Muijlwijk, the late Arthur Pearcy, John Thompson, Maurice Wickstead, and of course Maureen and John Woods (Friends of the DC-3).
We have made some restrictions in recording titles in the catalogue. When the history of the DC-1/2/3 is only a (smaller) part of a book, or other publication we have not entered it in this listing. This means e.g. that we did not enter a book with the complete history of the airline Aeroflot, although it contains some valuable pages with information on the use of the DC-3 and Li-2 in the USSR. Furthermore we have not entered sales-brochures and airline-manuals, since these items were never for sale officially.
Apart from entering the various titles we have included the organisations, operating and restoring the DC-2 and DC-3 or that are active as "DC-3-fan-club".
We tried to trace as much titles as possible. It might be possible however that we missed something that should be entered. Please send your comments, additions and questions to the following address:
